Installation

To begin installing your copy of TRIST, installation of the database in needed. After this you can execute the Jar file. The web components are installed if and when you require them. Through this section reference is made to a hosting computer. This is the computer where the database, Jar and possibly web interface are located and used. In a local context, this machine is the only machine and is the one you use in a general sense. For an intranet system the hosting machine is the one where the database resides and the web-interface is hosted from.

If you intend to use TRIST for searches available on the internet through an external web server provider, it is recommended that you follow the model for intranet and then upload the database and web interface pages to your web server once you have indexed the documents you require.
